Let's go on a Virtual Adventure together!

I'm on a mission to enter the Metaverse!  Would you like to join me?

I've been doing research for the past few months and ready to share some of the things I've learned.  Part of which, statistically speaking, is that it is mostly a younger demographic and predominantly male space.

LET'S CHANGE THAT!

I'm also working on a set of animated NFTs that I will release soon, into this new world.  And I'd love to take you all along with me on this new journey...from learning, to creating, to releasing!  We can do it together!

Let's start with the basics.  And let me warn you, if you are brand new to this, it WILL sound like another language.  It basically is.  It uses new words to describe money and ideas that we already have words and definitions for, and now they have additional meanings.

But I can assure you, if it sounds 'normal' to me after a short time, then you too can get comfortable in this new space.  Just take your time, soon these terms and this "world" will be as mainstream and as common as the words, "websites", "yahoo", "google", and "uber".  They were all weird new words to us not that long ago!

Basics:

Cryptocurrency: a new form of digital money.

  • There are various ones; the most popular one is Bitcoin.  The next popular is Eth (pronounced "eeeeth") or Ether, and you will hear "Ethereum" mentioned because that is the blockchain (the data ledger) that "Eth" runs on.  Another type of cryptocurrency is Solana, or "Sol".

Blockchain: basically a public ledger.

It means that it stores information electronically in digital format.

From investopedia, "...

  • blockchains store data in blocks that are then linked together via cryptography.
  • As new data comes in, it is entered into a fresh block. Once the block is filled with data, it is chained onto the previous block, which makes the data chained together in chronological order.
  • Different types of information can be stored on a blockchain, but the most common use so far has been as a ledger for transactions."

It also means that this data that is entered is irreversible.  And all of this information is transparent, there is a record for every transaction.

Simply stated, when you buy something, there is a record with your crypto-name and proof of ownership.

Sounds out there, especially if this is the first time you are introduced to this space. BUT, remember, websites and "www." was pretty out there too a little over 20 years ago.

Women, statistically, are far behind men to get on board with new technology.

Let's learn together and either create or invest (or both) in this NFT/crypto world to prove that we aren't too old and being any gender shouldn't matter.

I'll be sharing a little more each week.  Even if you aren't interested in NFTs and the crypto-world, please follow along anyway.  I'm pretty sure this is going to be a fun ride!!!

So much love friends!!
